Years of Rice and Salt is a 5-piece instrumental rock / folk band based in London, United Kingdom. They were formed in Summer ‘08 and released their debut EP entitled Service Bell EP on 31st January 2009.
The EP is a themed collection of songs navigating the timeline of a shipwreck through music.
My Humble Opinion
This is a deep, 'oceanic' beauty, this music lulls you to sleep like some giant calm waves, holding you gently but not letting go. And the vocals are like sad siren's singing putting you in some kind of trance. Taking into account this is the band's first album, that's definetely a mighty start and I can't wait for more. Marvellous, love from the first song.
